Privacy Policy

User information to be collected and collection method

In the Policy, "user information" shall mean information pertaining to user identification, activity history, and other information generated or accumulated in connection with the user or the user's terminal and shall be collected by Hylable in accordance with the Policy. The following types of user information are collected depending on the collection method:

1. Information provided by users

   The following types of information may be provided by users:

   • Information on the profile such as name, date of birth, sex, and occupation;
   • Information on contacts such as e-mail address, telephone number, and address;
   • Information on settlement means such as credit card information and bank account information; and
   • Information that the user enters or submits through an input form or other methods specified by Hylable.

2. Information provided by the user from an external service by permitting Hylable to link with the external service

   If a user permits collaboration with an external service when using the Hylable Service, the following information will be collected from the external service based on the content of the consent at the time of the permission:

   • ID used by the user in the external service; and
   • Other information that the user has approved to disclose to Hylable due to the privacy settings of the external service.

3. Information collected by Hylable in providing the Hylable Service

   Hylable may collect information about users’ access and usage. This includes the following information:

   • User ID for using the Hylable Service;
   • Terminal type;
   • Browser type;
   • Referer;
   • IP address;
   • Information about the server access log; and
   • Cookie, ADID, IDFA, and other identifiers.

Purpose of use

The specific purposes of use of the user information are as follows:

• For providing, maintaining, protecting, and improving the Hylable Service, such as accepting registrations relating to the Hylable Service, identification, user authentication, recording user settings, and calculating usage fees;
• For measuring user traffic and behavior;
• For the distribution, display, and effect measurement of advertisements;
• For responding to announcements, inquiries, etc., about the Hylable Service;
• For responding to breaches of the Terms of Use, etc. (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms, etc.”), stipulated by Hylable with respect to the Hylable Service; and
• For notifying of changes to the Terms, etc., and other matters.

Method of notification/publication or acquisition of consent, and method of request for suspension of use

Users may request suspension of collecting or using all or part of their personal information. In such case, Hylable will promptly suspend the use of such information in accordance with the provisions of Hylable; provided, however, that as the collection or use of the personal information is a prerequisite for the Hylable Service depending on the items of the personal information, the collection or use of such information may be suspended only when the use of the Hylable Service is suspended.

Presence or absence of an information collection module

The following information collection modules are embedded in the Hylable Service, and the information collected by each module is handled in accordance with the privacy policy stipulated by each module.

Provision to a third party

Hylable will not provide any personal information to any third party without the prior consent of the user; provided, however, that this shall not apply to the case where such information is provided to a third party (including those outside Japan) for the following reasons:

• Where Hylable entrusts all or part of the handling of the personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of the Hylable Service;
• Where the personal information is provided by succession of business due to the merger of Hylable or other reasons;
• Where the personal information is provided to a business partner or an information collection module provider pursuant to the provisions of Article 4;
• Where Hylable is obliged to cooperate with a state agency, a local government, or a person entrusted thereby under laws and regulations; and
• Other cases permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, etc.

Disclosure of the personal information

Upon receipt of a request from a user for disclosure of the personal information pursuant to the provisions of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, Hylable shall, without delay, disclose such information to the user or notify the user of the fact that such personal information does not exist after confirming that it is requested by such user; provided, however, that this shall not apply where Hylable is not obliged to disclose such information under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, etc.
Please note that Hylable will charge a fee of 1,000 Japanese Yen (excluding tax) for each disclosure of the personal information, plus an amount equivalent to consumption tax.

Correction of the personal information, suspension of use

If a user requests the following with respect to the personal information of the user themself, Hylable shall, without delay, conduct a necessary investigation after confirming that the request was made by the user themself, correct the content of or suspend the use of the personal information based on the results of the investigation, and notify the user to that effect. If Hylable decides not to correct or suspend the use thereof based on the results of the investigation, Hylable shall notify such user to that effect:

1. (1) If the content of the personal information is requested to be revised pursuant to the provisions of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information due to the reason that the personal information is not true; and
2. (2) If a request for suspension of the use of the personal information is made pursuant to the provisions of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information on the grounds that the personal information is handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use publicly announced in advance or that such personal information has been collected by deception or other wrongful means.

If Hylable is requested by the user to delete the personal information of such user themself, and if Hylable deems it necessary to follow such request, Hylable shall delete such personal information after confirming that such request is made by such user themself and notify such user to that effect; provided, however, that if Hylable is not obliged to make a correction, etc., or halt use, etc., pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations, the provisions of this Paragraph shall not apply.

Procedure for changing Privacy Policy

Hylable may change the Policy; provided, however, that in the event of any change that may require the consent of the users under laws and regulations, the changed Policy shall only apply to users who have agreed to the change in the manner prescribed by Hylable. If the Policy is to be changed, the time of enforcement and content of the changed Policy will be communicated to the users by means such as by displaying such Policy on Hylable website or by notifying the users.

Language

The Policy has been translated for the convenience of the users in accordance with the following Privacy Policy prepared in Japanese corresponding to the Policy. With respect to the interpretation of the Policy (English translation), the interpretation of the Privacy Policy prepared in Japanese shall prevail over the Policy (English translation).
